FreeVST3zero latency
A smooth strobe tuner with a needle on a spring: it knows the difference between YOU turning a peg (it stiffens and tracks live) and a string just ringing (it relaxes and sits dead-still, with a magnetic zero inside ±1.5 cents). Fast on every string — 7-string and drop tunings included. Pure pass-through: your signal is untouched, zero latency.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Reference A4 | 415–466 Hz calibration (440 default; 432 for the cult, 415 for baroque friends). |
| Response | The FEEL knob, 100–1000 ms. Lower = twitchier needle, higher = calmer needle + steadier Hz readout. It trims the spring, not a lag filter — the needle never crawls. |
| Input Gate | Below this level the display HOLDs. Default Off; raise it on noisy rigs. |
| Transpose | ±12 semitones for capos and transposing instruments. |
| Labels | Sharps or flats. |
| Pitch | MPM/NSDF with YIN cross-guards; adaptive windows (fast 2048-sample default, 3072 mid window below ~55 Hz) at an 11.025 kHz analysis rate |
| Cents | heterodyne strobe drift, hop-averaged per-string so every string lands at the same noise floor |
| Needle | critically-damped spring + motion detector (peg-turn tracking) + magnetic zero |
| Guards | sympathetic sub-octave rejection — drop-tuned octave pairs don't drag the read down an octave |
| Range | ~27 Hz (drop A on an 8-string) to 1.4 kHz |
In NoAMP, the built-in TUNER module is the same brain — and it mutes only your live signal; a playing loop keeps sounding.
